Hi Everyone -
We are adding a different kind of meet to switch things up a
little. This meet is the 2009 Open Water State Championships,
to be held July11, 2009, at Chris Green Lake in Charlottesville,
VA.
The meet will take place along a cabled off 1/4 mile section of
Chris Green Lake. Depending upon your age, will depend upon
the number of laps you swim. Swimmers 10 & under must
have at least a B time in the 200 freestyle and 11 & older
swimmers must have at least a B time in the 400 or
500 freestyle.
The events are as follows: Ages 7 - 10 will swim 1/2 mile,
ages 11 - 12 will swim 1 mile, and ages 13 and older will swim 2
miles.
The meet invitation is attached for you to look
over.
The entry fee for this meet is $21.00. You may sign up for
this meet on Direct Athletics now until midnight, Sunday, June 28,
2009.
****IMPORTANT***** YOU
WILL NEED TO PRINT OUT THE LAST PAGE OF THE MEET INVITATION
(attached), FILL OUT AND MAIL TO ME PRIOR TO JUNE 28. THIS IS
A PERMISSION SLIP TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MEET ALONG WITH YOUR
CHILD’S T-SHIRT SIZE. THE MEET DIRECTOR MUST HAVE THESE
IN ORDER FOR YOUR CHILD TO SWIM!
