Sign-ups are now
available for the VA Swimming SC Age Group
Championship meet which will be held at the GMU Freedom
Aquatic & Fitness Center March 18-21, 2010.
The BASS sign-up
deadline is midnight Saturday March 6.
This meet is available
to all 14 & younger swimmers who have achieved the qualifying
time in each event entered. The qualifying period is 01/01/09
through March 18, 2010. A qualifying time standards report for this
meet is in the event report upload section below, along with an
eligibility report that will show all swimmers who have qualified
and the events they have qualified to swim.
12 & younger
swimmers may swim a maximum of 8 individual events during the meet,
with no more than 3 individual events per day. 13-14 yr old
swimmers may swim a maximum of 7 individual events during the meet,
with no more than 3 individual events per day.
There is a timed finals
distance session Thursday night for 12 & younger 500 free and
13-14 1000 free, which will be swum in one pool. Friday-Sunday is a
Prelims/Finals meet for 11-14 yr olds, and a timed finals meet for
10 & Younger swimmers. All 11-14 yr olds will swim during the
Prelim sessions Fri.-Sun.The meet will be swum in 2 pools during
the Prelim sessions, and one pool during the finals sessions. All
10 & younger swimmers will swim in the afternoon session using
one pool.
Individual Events are
$9.00, with a swimmer surcharge of $3.00.
Late fees apply to
anyone who misses the entry deadline: In addition to the regular
entry fee, a fee of $10 per event prior to the meet start date, and
a fee of $25 per event on or after the first day of the
meet. So please be sure to sign up on
time!
